Rae Begley the Founder and Director of U . V is energised by being tapped into the spirit of the time and realising the potential of individuals to pursue a collective meaningful vision.

A self proclaimed culture and nature enthusiast, Rae lives the life of the ethos she represents, leading with dynamism and creative energy.

Rae has over 18 years experience working in Australia and the UK as a Communications Director and Creative Producer in the contemporary culture sphere. Leading industry names and organisations in her client portfolio have been balanced with the support of emerging creatives and projects, working directly with artists and designers.

Rae’s genuine and intelligent communication style is well respected across multiple industries and she has built trusted and long term media relationships with a network who value her outreach. Rae has a considered approach and understanding of how and where stories resonate for her clients. Her expertise is a honed ability to intuitively identify and build creative PR opportunities that influence and elevate.

From the underground to the established, the diversity and high calibre of clients Rae has worked with throughout her career demonstrates her adaptability and scope.

Under the banner of Little Hero, one of Australia’s leading fashion and lifestyle PR agencies that she founded in 2007, Rae directed a team and independently managed a diverse spectrum of clients for over 13 years. She was an early adopter in the industry working with the powerful shift and impact of social media platforms, online publications and individuals of influence to tell brand stories for her clients.

Rae is recognised for the production of a vast repertoire of impactful events where she carved out a space for creativity to collide with commerce as a meaningful communicator for key messaging.

Her agency co-produced and managed the strategic PR for up to eight fashion week shows a year from 2007-2015 collaborating with the boldest and brightest designers including shaping the profile of national treasures Romance Was Born with their iconic off site runway shows, re-launching iconic designer Jenny Kee and innovating for brand giants including adidas and Levi's. In 2018, she launched a high leisurewear fashion line CLDL for Australian band Client Liaison with an off site industry show for fashion week. The band performed on the runway and broadcast their show live via Facebook to their direct audience then offered the collection through pop up concept stores nationally.

In 2020, Rae concepted and co-produced 'HOME' a bushfire relief fundraiser with Sam Watson Wood at the National Art School. HOME was a one night only exhibition and art auction event with 67 leading and emerging artist works including Mike Parr, Del Kathryn Barton and Ben Quilty. The event raised close to a quarter of a million dollars for nominated organisations to respond to the impact of the Australian bushfires with long term solutions.

Consultation in the arts and design as an Account Director from 2016 onwards has included campaigns and projects with major cultural institutions, organisations and architectural firms directly and through agencies Articulate, Design Communication Associates, Andpeople, Antonia Leigh (Creative Justice) and Right Angle Studio. In addition to her work with Utopia Vision, Rae is currently consulting in the music sector as a Creative Director for Positive Feedback working across brand alignments for their artist roster, special projects and the production of PR and marketing stills and music videos.

Rae has a Bachelor of Media Arts and maintains her own multidisciplinary art practice specialising in film photography which contributes to her understanding of the nuances of working with artists in a commercial landscape. Her forthcoming exhibition for 2021 is currently in production following an artist residency with La Wayaka Current in the indigenous community of Coyo in the Atacama Desert in Chile. La Wayaka Current aims to connect artists with remote environments to develop new perspectives through site-responsive creative practice about environmental and philosophical questions of our time.
